When I was young I didn’t like to get my pictures taken. My family and friends would chase me around with the camera. However, losing a loved one changes you. Life is ephemeral. Pictures last forever. All I have left is the love you left for me and the pictures that I will cherish forever.
I want to capture my life here at Stony. I was a transfer student from Buffalo. 400 miles away from home when my mom was ill. When she passed away I decided I wanted to be closer to home and I needed a new start. So I packed everything and transferred to Stony. I joined Asian Students Alliance and it was one of the best decisions I made. They became my second family. I wanted to photograph every precious memory I made with them. This is why for my final project I want to dedicate it to all the student events we hold as a club. Especially Asian Night, one of our biggest events of the year.
Asian Night is an annual event we host to promote Asian American representation on campus through a series of performances including singing, dancing, and modeling.
