Collection of work from my landscape project. The objective for the first part of the assignment was to get comfortable with our manual camera settings and to have an understanding of underexposure,  overexposure and the correct exposure. The second part of the assignment allowed for photo manipulation and editing. For part two, I focused on capturing the forms of the plants growing within the concrete and other man-made structures.

Getting a close up view of the plants revealed to me just how beautiful they were. From far away it’s hard to see how the plants delicately grew through the concrete and around the structures. This resonated with me because I thought of how humans are the same; despite the circumstances we are in we can chose to be buried by them or we can grow through them and come out even ore beautiful then when we started.

I hope you enjoy the work 🙂
