Current G-Tube Stabilizer Devices

There have been a few solutions that have been manufactured to combat against this issue of G-tubes needing to be stabilized. These two that have been made have been the SafetyBreak device and the Balloon catheter.

The SafetyBreak is a device that has been used to stabilize a g-tube through a flexible inner bumper so that the g-tube does not dislodge. This device has been pushed through a clinical trail. It was found that through this trail that the device significantly reduced the dislodgement of the g-tube. Below is an image to demonstrate what the device looks like [5].

The next device is known as a Balloon Catheter [8]. This is similar to the SafetyBreak device but besides of a bumper it is a balloon. And the device has a minimal tube that just makes a port on the opposite port of the site. This allows for the easy insertion of a syringe for feeding and giving medicines. Below is an image to demonstrate what the device looks like.
