Chinese Animation now

In year 2008, an epoch-making animated film is released. It is called Kung-fu Panda.

As we all know, Kung Fu Panda is a great animated film with lots of Chinese elements, and it’s content has a lot to do with Chinese culture. However, it’s not made in China. It is kind of “totally America”. It is product-ed by Dream works animation, it’s directed by Americans, it’s storied by Americans, and it’s screen played by Americans. But, Kung Fu Panda is super famous and successful.

Kung Fu Panda premiered in the United States on June 6, 2008. Kung Fu Panda’s success is dragging the attention of the Chinese, because they have to face a fact that the Americans produced an animated film that is highly connected with Chinese culture, and they reach a huge success. Mean while, China has almost no animation industries, and everyone hardly believe that China can have attracting animated film or Cartoons. The Kung Fu Panda is giving the Chinese a huge strike: Chinese culture is interesting, Animated film is interesting, but Chinese still can’t create an interesting Animated cartoon or film.

Since Kung Fu Panda has already showed the huge market and the great potential of animated film and cartoons, big companies are finally starting to realize that maybe they have missed a lot of chances.
