A newly approved Stony Brook club, the Portuguese Language Club (PLC) seeks to be a space where the Portuguese-speaking community at Stony Brook can meet and share experiences in Portuguese. Also, it is intended to be a a place where those interested can learn more about the Portuguese language and the Portuguese-speaking cultures. The ideia is to promote an environment for expanding horizons and raising awareness of different cultures in Portuguese, through several different activities.
The Portuguese Language Club will be organizing a regular General Boarding Meeting (GBM) on Thursdays from 6:00 to 6:50pm at FREY 211.
Important dates:
- Come to the PLC table at Involvement Fair on September 6th between 1.00 pm-2.30 pm, at the SAC.
- Join the PLC on September 7 between 00 pm to 6.50 pm at FREY 211 to celebrate Brazilian Independence Day.
- Come to the PLC table at Wolfieland on September 9th, between 4.00 pm – 7.00 pm, at Rec & Wellness Athletic Fields.
