Designs
For our EKG T-Wave App, we have thought of and planned out the main design criteria as well as the fitness device criteria. Both are described more in detail down below:
Main Design Criteria:
The User Compatibility is extremely important –
- Inadequate skin and device contact [Henein, 2023]
- Lack of device accessibility [Digitale, 2023]
- Device inaccuracy [Mitchell, 2024]
- Extraneous factors (e.g. environmental) [Cleveland Clinic, 2021]Â
Fitness Device Criteria:
Wearable Fitness Sports Gear –
This criteria will be beneficial to those that have atrial fibrillation; most common serious fitness-related arrhythmia.
General design for fitness:
- Flexibility
- Water resistant/ sweat proof
- Affordable
- Easy to put on and take off (could be something wearable like a bracelet, ring, watch, or headband)
General Underwater Fitness Design –
This criteria will be beneficial to those who are deep divers and aren’t conscious about their heart condition(s). Deep diving lowers your heart rate due to the underwater pressure.
General underwater design for fitness:
- Flexibility
- Water proof:
- Affordable
> Enclosed design
> Sealing
> Further testing to ensure the water proofness - Easy to put on and take off, (could be comprehended into the wet suits)
