Exploring New Places Part 2

Week 10 of internship and we are going on another tour. This time, it was to Frey Hall. We were taken to a Testing Center in Frey Hall and was given a tour of it by Diana and Richard. The Testing Center was made for students to take tests online and it prevents cheating in many ways. There are multiple security cameras along with fingerprint scanners on the keyboards and a camera on the computer screen. All of these computers are in there own cubicles and during the test, there will be multiple proctors walking around as to prevent cheating in another way. All of the computers in the Testing Center had a very limited amount of software as to further prevent cheating.

After the Testing Center, we went to the second floor and there I found a hidden studying area. The place was built like a CoLA but it is more used for the public and does not need a reservation. There are 2 built in TV’s with HDMI and VGA cords that you can connect to your computer so you can share. After that area, we went into a classroom that was built like a conference room. What this room was built for was so that professors can teach multiple classes in different University’s at the same time. Another cool thing that I found very high tech was that the camera at the front of the room was able to sense and change the camera position due to this device built into the table.

I have just updated my E-Portfolio and it is looking really good. I have just updated my About me section and have added a TLT blog section. I am going to end at that so have a good day everyone! See you all next week!
