Constructed Image Assignment

I did two different projects for the constructed image assignment. The first one is seen below. These two pictures signifies the human left and right brain. The picture on the left shows the logical and analytic nature of the left brain. I attempted to show this by overlaying a picture of a constructed site on it and doing additional adjustments on Photoshop. The picture on the right shows the creativity of the right brain and thus the picture is highly colorful and vivid. The forms are free and more abstract.

The second project is another constructed image that alters reality and this is done through photoshop too using masks and other necessary adjustments. This image shows three versions of myself and these are all self-portraits. The purposefully chose the first two versions on the right to be blurred to show the fuzzy and blurry state of mind I am in when I wake up. Then I have a clear version of myself reflected back in the same mirror I was previously brushing my teeth in. This was a really fun project for me.

Camera Task: Angle of View (Perspective)

DSC_0295

From exploring many different perspectives and angles for this task I discovered that perspective can really make a big difference in how a certain subject looks or the feel of the picture. The symmetrical perspective of the first picture gives it a formal and slightly scientific feel.

This perspective gives the picture a more surreal mood.

DSC_0292

This last perspective gives the picture a more snapshot feel.
