Unphotographable

Together in Springtime: This is a picture I did not take

of a green park blossoming with little yellow dandelions as spring arrives once more, and of a man walking his family’s young golden retriever along the cobblestone pathway while his wife pulls the stroller where their infant twins are napping, and of a father and his daughter having a picnic of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on a red and white checkered blanket in the shade of an evergreen with the initials of lovers carved into its bark, and a mother kissing the scrapped knee of her sniffling son who’d just taken a tumble from his brilliant blue bike adorned with superhero stickers, and rambunctious adolescents challenging themselves to see who can roll sideways down a hill the fastest while their parents scold them for getting dirt and grass onto their clothes and into their hair.
