Welcome to my website!
I am Yiming Wan, a recent doctoral graduate from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University. I will also continue my research projects as a postdoc associate in the SYNtheic Evolutionary Dynamics, which is supervised by Prof. Gabor Balazsi.
My current research efforts focus on applying synthetic biological approaches to better quantify cancer genotype-to-phenotype correlations, network dynamics and therapeutic development. Specifically, I am interested in molecular level understanding of the tumor occurrence, gene expression control and regulation network, tumor associated immunological therapy, and genome editing. I am also interested in the EMT regulatory network and RNA-level genetic regulation approach. Meanwhile, I am actively leading the innovative design and development of synthetic biological toolbox and cellular platforms to enable diverse and complex gene regulatory control in order to establish quantitative understanding of their functions properly and precisely.
