RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Velocity Regulation of Molecular Passing Through Solid-State Nanopores 05/2016-04/2017
advised by Professor Zuhong Lu, State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, SEU

•   Made efforts to regulate the molecular translocation rates

•   Coated DNA with magnetic nanoparticles

•   Tested DNA translocation rates and record electrical signals under external magnetic field

•   Explored the quantitative relationship between translocation rate and magnetic field

Effect of microRNA (miRNA) on Proliferation and Migration of Tumor Cells 01/2016-12/2016
advised by Professor Zhongdang Xiao, State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, SEU

•   Screened colorectal cancer stem cells by suspension sphere culture

•   Determined miRNA expression signature in cancer stem cells by miRNA sequencing

•   Identified, amplified and purified target miRNAs which were differentially expressed

•   Constructed recombinant plasmid EGFP_N1 with double enzyme digested miRNAs fragment

•   Selected successfully transformed DH5α competent cells with recombinant

•   Transfected eukaryotic cells with selected recombinant

•   Investigated influences of the target miRNA on the cell proliferation, migration, and cell cycle

•   Study effects of target miRNA expression on signal transduction pathways of cell proliferation and migration

•   Analyzed data in SPSS and made graphs in Cytoscape and GraphPad Prism

Construction of Scaffold for Three Dimensional Angiogenesis in Colorectal Cancer in vitro 04/2015-04/2016
advised by Professor Zhongdang Xiao, State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, SEU

•   Aimed to construct one or two compatible scaffold, providing stereoscopic environment and mimicking the physiological state in vivo for 3D cell culture and drug test

•   Designed scaffolds in AutoCAD, and constructed scaffolds by 3D printer

•   Cultured colorectal cancer cells (HCT116) & human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC)

•   Constructed HCT116 & HUVEC co-cultivation system with scaffolds optimized with polycarbonate film

•   Measured and analyzed the cell cycle by flow cytometry, and identified cells by immunofluorescent staining

•   Detected vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) as a major detection index for angiogenesis

•   Quantifing angiogenesis in matrigel, and further to conduct researches on target tumor vessels intervention

Synthesis of Graphene-based Catalyst & Its Application in Environmental Protection 10/2015-03/2016
advised by Professor Zhongdang Xiao, State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, SEU

•   Synthesized Graphene Oxide using high-purity graphite powder by Hummers’ method

•   Synthesized 3D porous reduced graphene oxide/gold nanoparticle aerogel (3D rGO/Au NPA)

•   Investigated the catalytic activities of prepared 3D rGO/Au NPA by testing the reduction of 4-NP to 4-AP in the presence of NaBH4 with a UV spectrophotometer

•   Tested the re-usability of 3D rGO/Au NPA after collecting, washing, drying and reused it in the next cycle

•   Conducted characteristic analyses of 3D rGO/Au NPA, including X-ray diffraction analyses (XRD), morphological characterizations, transmission electron microscopy images, fourier transform infrared spectrum, raman spectra, thermal gravimetric analysis and so on

Preparation of Carbon Nitride Quantum Dots & its activity for water splitting 07/2015-02/2016
advised by Associate Professor Zhuoyin Xie, School of Biological Sciences & Medical Engineering, SEU

•   Prepared polystyrene microsphere suspension

•   Assembled polystyrene microspheres into a single-layer thin film

•   Prepared carbon nitride quantum dots (CNQD), and filled CNQD into the thin film

•   Removed polystyrene microspheres by calcination, leaving ordered CNQD

•   Investigated CNQD effects on efficiency of light water splitting
