Corporate Engineering Intern, Pittsburgh Glass Works, 2017-2018

  • Shadowed engineers and assisted with any problems encountered.
  • Organized, managed, and updated the value add portion of the website.
  • Worked hands on in the plants with various assembly machines and robotic dispensers.
  • Worked autonomously on my own project to identify and document all assembly machines and robotic dispensers.
  • Traveled to multiple states to work in different PGW facilities.
  • Created Work Instructions for workers to follow.

 

Research Experience

Graduate Research2018

Lab on a Chip, working under Dr. Helmut Strey

  • Developed a gas impermeable chamber which allowed continuous flow of gas and liquids through capillary tubing.
  • Used a CNC machine to manufacture the final product.

Undergraduate Research, 2017-2018

Traumatic Brain Injuries, worked under Dr. Rika Carlsen

  • Assisted in experimental design fabrication.
  • Acquired knowledge about the current state in traumatic brain injury research.
  • Fabricated polyvinyl alcohol hydrogels.
  • Manufactured skull and brain molds with a 3D printer.
PVA hydrogel to represent the brain, placed inside of a 3D printed skull mold.
