A ridge of high pressure will shift offshore over the next few days, allowing the disturbance off the North Carolina coast to shift northward. In the meantime, partly sunny skies will dominate the picture over the next few days with northeasterly winds shifting to easterly between Friday and Sunday. Clouds will increase in coverage over the forecast period. There will be a chance for rain over Monday associated with the disturbance to our south.
