Upper-level zonal flow will give way to strong ridging overnight into Wednesday as a strong-upper level trough sets up over the western United States and amplifies the downstream ridge. Surface high pressure systems located to the northwest and southwest will keep the area dry and mostly clear, however, they will also contribute to a northerly flow regime that will bring cold air from the north into our area. A cold front from the North is expected to pass through this evening, leading to rapidly cooling temperatures into Tuesday.
