Synopsis:

A slow moving cold front associated with low pressure over southern Ontario slowly pushes east throughout the day Tuesday and Tuesday night.  Strong warm and moist air advection due to a robust low level jet will provide for high precipital water values and increasing instability in the low levels. Therefore, the shower asociated with the cold front will become more widespread throughout the day Tueday, becoming heavy by Tueday night. The cold front pushes through Long Island Wednesday. The presence of a very deep upper level trough to the west will keep clouds and showers overhead until Wednesday night. The trough becomes negatively tilted as it passes over the area Thursday with the cold front stalling over the Atlantic. Weak low pressure will ride up the front bringing with it scattered light showers late Thursday afternoon.
