An arctic cold front has moved through the region early this morning. As a result, a very cold air mass for this time of year will begin to build in, with temperatures falling throughout the day. Strong high pressure builds in as well to reinforce the cold air building in from the arctic. We could have record low temperatures tonight. It will remain chilly on Saturday as high pressure stays in place, but then it will warm up for Sunday as high pressure moves offshore and the wind switches to southerly.
