Synopsis:

Tranquil weather is expected over the three day period despite the passing of several shortwaves. An upper level ridge moves east and flattens Tuesday into early Wednesday as a weak shortwave moves southeast across the Northeast from southern Canada. Warrm advection ahead of this shortwave Tuesday and Tuesday night will make for a mild Wednesday ahead of the shortwave’s associated cold front. No precipitation is expected with the passing of this front due to dry southwesterly flow ahead of the cold front. Thursday will feature the passing of two additional shortwaves. The first will be much weaker than the next and will leave the Mid-Atlantic coast early Thursday morning. Brief ridging builds in behind the shortwave ahead of a more robust feature Thursday night which will likely bring precipitation.
