Synopsis
An upper level shortwave trough is currently influencing the region. Associated with the trough, at the surface is a low over the Great Lakes region. The low will pass over the Long island region Sunday night into Monday morning bringing light to moderate showers into the region with it. Temperatures during the day will hit a peak in the lower to mid 50s, as cloudy skies persist in the region, while lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.
