Synopsis:

An extratropical cyclone to our northwest will be ushering in warm advection through the afternoon today.  However, heavy rain and possibly thunder is expected throughout the day.  We are under the influence of an upper level long wave trough of low pressure, which is allowing a lot of precipitation to fall today.  The cyclone is expected to move towards the northeast over the next 12-24 hours, and a steadier zonal flow will feature clearer weather tomorrow and Thursday.  Highs will be in the 60s today and tomorrow, but a cold front will be advecting through the region tomorrow night, bringing slightly cooler temperatures on Thursday in the 50s.
