With the recent passing of a surface cold front, temperatures have continued to follow an unseasonably cold trend. This will continue as an upper-level trough moves through our area and a strong surface high sets up just North of Minnesota. This high pressure system will bring strong, northwesterly flow into the area, transporting the cold Canadian air with it, keeping temperatures on the cool side for the next few days. Low temperatures and strong winds have the potential to produce wind chills as low as the mid 20s, so be sure to break out the jackets and bundle up, especially at night. Despite the low temperatures, skies will remain relatively clear over the next few days, keeping the end of the weekend and the beginning of the work week beautiful and sunny.
