Research

Due to my excellent performance in professional courses and experiment, I was chosen to participate in Biomedical Engineering Electronic Innovation Design Competition in my junior year. Our project was ECG Data Collection and Heart Rate Detector.

Recently, I am working in Dr Du’s LAB, which major in working with optical imaging.

It contains both vivo and vitro experiments. What we can promote is to find a better way to detect through a Three-Dimensional Microscopy1.What I’m doing is trying use the LFO program to look at the large window imaging to check the connectivity between brain regions, e.g., PFC and somatorsensory.

Additionally, our lab has done many results about the signals between brain regions. We investigated the effects of chronic cocaine exposure (2 and 4 weeks) on markers of vascular function and morphology in the rat brain2. We are finding a best way to detect the signals in vivo animals. It is a tough work because we cannot easily get what we want through the vivo system. Blood and tissue will be a big block for imaging. To avoid these blocks, we need to use far-red fluorescent3. Hopefully we can do a good job in the future.
