About Me

Hello and welcome to my website!

I am Wenguo Gao, a senior in the accelerated master program in Biomedical Engineering Major at Stony Brook University. I am currently working under Dr. Danny Bluestein on the development of a transcatheter aortic valve replacement with computational simulation method. Being a conservative and a Capricornus, I feel more comfortable when I follow rules. Making plans for study and daily life, writing a “To-do-List” for everyday, and preparing ahead for projects are my routines. Living in those boundaries makes me feel free, and have more spare time to enjoy my life. I always believe that “Freiheit als Autonomie (Freedom as Autonomy)”.

I found out that my interest in the medical field since I was doing shadowing and volunteer in hospital during my undergraduate. I felt that I was a better person even when I was only watching those physicians helping patients. I am so glad that I attend Stony Brook University, and able to have the chance to do the clinical rotation. I am completing my final year in B.E./M.S. combined program. After graduation, I plan to work in industries in medical-related field and develop medical devices to help people.
