We are pleased to introduce a new blogging platform for the Department of Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Stony Brook University. We will feature posts from faculty and students in the department on research, teaching, and programming in WGSS, as well as on the many ways we bring WGSS into the world through activism, education, and community engagement.

We are beginning this blog in the wake of the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in spring semester 2020. We hope this will provide a space of creativity, consciousness raising, and care as we grapple with the impact of COVID-19 on our lives at Stony Brook and beyond.

We also want this to be a space where we can celebrate the achievements of our extended WGSS community, beginning with the graduating seniors in the WGSS@StonyBrook class of 2020. Thus, our first posts will be in honor of the WGSS majors and minors graduating in May 2020.
