In 2016, we gave the Sustainability Studies Earthworm Ecotoxicology Award to two students. Christine Jette won the award for her development of a standardized protocol that we now use for all research projects in the lab. She is currently applying to graduate programs in chemistry and environmental sciences.
Shamin Sahbezada also won the award for his long-term investment and leadership in the lab. We have three papers about to go out for review, and his name is on all of them. He’s pursuing a Masters of Science in Epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Go, Shamin!
