In 2015, we gave the Sustainability Studies Earthworm Ecotoxicology award to Joy Pawirosetiko. Not only had she completed her Honor’s Project in our lab, she’d become the URECA Researcher of the Month. She completed her MBA at Stony Brook University and is now looking for a graduate program.
Joy is currently working at Eppendorf North America as the CRM Data Administrator. She is responsible for maintaining the master data in the CRM system for the United States and Canada. Working in the worm lab has taught her to be persistent and innovative (e.g. when pilot studies fail), skills she uses on a daily basis.
