Unphotographable

This is the picture I did not take.

In Winter 2016, my family moved back to New York from New Jersey. We finally arrived in an apartment after almost a week of cramping in a Camry with all our belongings in the day and sleeps at the cheapest hotel we could find for the night. A queen-size mattress was the only thing there in the apartment. That night, all 5 of us sleep facing the window on that same mattress, horizontally, with our feet hanging off so that the bed holds all of us. Since the curtain was not yet up, the bright sunrise woke me up. I looked to the left and right of me, my family was still asleep. Through the window, I saw the red sign of New York-Presbyterian Hospital far away behind a deciduous tree. Birds fly past under the cloud and the blue-orange sky. The view through the window was what I wanted to capture. It was the most peaceful moment I have ever felt.
