Task 6: Final Proposal

Title: light and shadow

Description: For this assignment, I will use red bricks and a red metal ring as the object of my photography and my white tone lamp as the source of the lamp. The holes in the red brick give enough space for light to reflect, creating a contrast between light and shade. By adjusting the position of the light source and different angles of the camera, I can capture the color of the red brick and the change of the shadow. Produce a series of abstract works. For another group of works, I still choose to use my desk lamp as the light source and take a red metal ring as the shooting object. The shape of the red metal ring matches the shape of my lamp ring, and the red metal ring is hollow in the middle. So I wanted to use two circular patterns to change the position and shape of light and shadow by overlapping and slightly changing the Angle.

Outcome:

I will produce 7 photographs of different light and shadow positions.

The photographs will be taken on my study desk.

Methods and materials:

A canon Camera

A red brick, a red material, and a white tone lamp
