Topic:
How we use dimensions to define our existence, culture, and history.
Storyboard
Begin with eased in footage of driving down the road. Introduce how we are living and moving in this 3-dimensional world. Use Cinema 4D to build up 3D models for explaining the mechanics of how we exist.
Introduce “time”, explain its importance in terms of history. History becomes meaningless without the existence of time. Use a similar footage of driving on the road but in slow motion and in backward. Use these two ways to demonstrate the importance of time only moving forward. Refer to “Loving Vincent”, an oil painted animation. With the help of time moving forward, we are able to witness a number of paintings coming to life. Loving Vincent
Use footage of the clock hands moving in both forward and backward plays.
Explain why we are unique to this world, and what will be happening if a fifth dimension is found.

Book Project “deMention” Details
I really like the choices of using the driving footage and the clock both moving forward and backward at varying speeds to illustrate time. I really wish I could have heard you talk about this yesterday. Your proposal does a great job of illustrating the direction this is going, and I am interested to see it all tied together.
The Time Lapse video was similar to me, but it was different, so it was nice to see it while comparing it with my video. Since the time-lapse part is a video that runs smoothly, I was satisfied to see. The clock video made me think that it is part of the indie film.

This is such a cool idea for a documentary. I think the photos you took of the book came off really cool, and I think that once they are lapped like the car footage it will really tie the idea of “dimensions” together perfectly. I’d love to see more examples of what you are choosing to to include in the video that demonstrate dimensions.
I like your idea included different dimensions and brings out your theme, time. Through that, you are exploring the fifth dimension world, which I am looking forward to see the outcome in your final project, the unique world you wanted to show it to us.
I really like the clock rewinding video. It’s really interesting how you chose this as your topic. We live on time and clocks surround us and sometimes we take it for granted. I like the way you focused on to the clock. I was wondering if there is any significance to the time you chose. Overall, excellent work.
I really enjoy your idea – it is such an interesting topic to explore time and its meaning in our lives. I think using time as the documentary topic is interesting but challenging as well. I think maybe you could incorporate other representations of how time effects us as well as just the driving time lapse to get your point across. Overall, super cool project!
Your works make me thing of minimalism and abstract expressionism. Also, I think you have a special insight into the beauty of color and the beauty of structure. The only suggestion I want to give you is that you can add some human figures in some of you photos—human figures can express a sense of movement in your static photographic work.

It’s an intellectually complex idea – the concept itself forces you to think. With that said, I’m really excited to see how you piece all of these ideas together! Dimensional work is always tricky but if done right, it can be really intriguing. Your current progress is really neat and interesting. I like the video of the clock. Its colors, tone, and effects are neat and progressive. I am eager to see more and the finished product!
I like the idea of introducing the concept of dimensions to those who are new to the topic. Using visual examples and animations is a great way to communicate this topic effectively, especially through Cinema4D. Your book, however, is the most engaging aspect of the piece so far. I think you can record an audio narration of your voice explaining the dimensional principles, along with video footage of your hands flipping trough the pages to demonstrate the characteristics of each subject. Nice job so far.
