Justin Maller has inspired me with many of his artworks over the years. The first artwork I saw back in 2013 is the remake of the album cover from Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories”. I was, first time in my life, impressed by the power of the computer drawing process. Even though the final work does not really express the drawing skills like most of other fine art pieces do, it showcases a few new criteria for computer artworks, like the texture, resolution and of course the content of the work.

Justin is also known for one of his projects called “FACETS” which he created one image per day for the whole year. Every artwork within this project follows a few simple principles: One object within the board, high saturated color themes and most importantly, the object is composed of “facets”.

He is also experimenting with surreal elements within his works. For instance, in one of his work he tried to unify a group of realistic animals with this oddly shaped “tree”, trying to portray the idea that the “tree” is hunting for food.
