Nam June Paik covers a wide range of media and is widely known as the founder of video art. In his work, we can feel the delicate sense of music, the desire to remove the boundaries of music and action, the limits of body and technology. And these activities established him as Fluxus’s chief writer. He did not hesitate to mix different genres of art, dreaming of harmony between art and life on a global scale across religions and continents. His humorous and deeply insightful sentences hovered over cosmological discourse in the face of everyday truth. The efforts to bring Nam June Paik’s new media into the art have continued to question how we perceive time and space. That effort is a source of inspiration for other media artists, artists, artists, and musicians.
