PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Shanghai is the mega-city of the People’s Republic of China, China’s international economic, financial, trade, shipping, scientific and technological innovation center, national logistics hub. In the eyes of many people, Shanghai is a big city with bright lights forever. Shanghai is a city full of history. From ancient times to the present, Shanghai has developed from a fishing village into an international university. In my picture, I chose to use the black and white filter to see the real Shanghai. What about Shanghai without the light? Shanghai seems to be synonymous with prosperity, so I decided to shoot a set of monochromatic Shanghai downtown. Monochrome photos can help us find the real Shanghai, the actual city. Not a town shrouded in lights. I hope this series of images can show the real Shanghai.
