Color Blindness
I After researching about some particular conditions that impacts perception, like aphasia, synesthesia, color blindness, migraines and etc, the one that shocked me the most is the color blindness. I have always thought color blindness means one cannot see color and everything in their world is black and white. However, after researching I found out color blindness is not a form of blindness at all, but a deficiency in the way you see color. With this vision problem, you have difficulty distinguishing certain colors, such as blue and yellow or red and green. Contrary to my belief, it is actually rare for a color blind person to see only in shade grey. The term “color blindness” is misleading, because most “colorblind” people see colors, but their color perception is limited and inaccurate.
