Media play an important role in recording and presenting the change and development of our society and culture. Also, when recording and presenting these changes and development, the media, such as video and video, can also evoke audiences’ thoughts and reflection upon the social issues as well as their individual identities. For example, thanks to the photographs, documentaries and films that focused on the slavery system in the US during the 19th century, people in our contemporary society can understand this dark period in US history and be evoked to think of the significance of equality and freedom. These media works will be maintained from generations to generations, which will keep protecting and promoting the justice of the US society. Thus, in my opinion, media works will be the valuable wealth and resources of human beings—if the fossil is the valuable wealth and resources of the ancient time, the media work will be the wealth and heritage of human beings’ civilization.
