vehicles displaying photographic montages representative of various University clubs, activities, units, etc. as part of an effort to highlight the wide spectrum of things happening at Stony Brook. On Monday, 11 March 2013, SoMAS got its bus. A committee comprised of Professor Glenn Lopez, graduate student Ruth Coffey and Staff Assistant Kim Knoll had worked for many months with OTPS staff to select a series of images representative of the marine and atmospheric spheres encompassed by SoMAS. On the big day, the bus was pulled into the School’s parking lot early and a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony officially put the bus into service. At the event, SoMAS Dean Minghua Zhang thanked the University administration for its support of the project and the selection committee for picking the images. Senior Vice-President for Administration Barbara Chernow recognized SoMAS for their numerous programs and activities which play a key role in promoting the University.
