Character Design 11-23-18

  

This is a mock-up of a low resolution modular character design that could be used as in a 2D side-scrolling game. The goal is to render animation frames on a per-component basis, in order to reduce the total amount of work. This enables the game to implement much more customization in character design. Players should be able to build their own character from the ground up, in order to have a sense of agency.

To demonstrate the versatility of the style, I’ve included several possible enemy designs that are based on the original player model
