I wanted to go for a look that was still modern and clean, appealing to a college age audience, while remaining playful, friendly, and related to the overall design scheme of my other elements (icon, typography). I designed the home icon off the overall look of a dojo, and added the headband “tassles” as small additions to each element to tie them together.
