Work Statement
Pastry Possum and Garden of Guts are two paintings from my series, Spill It. The contrasting themes of mature and lighthearted content is an aspect of my portfolio that I’m deeply insecure about. In response to those feelings, I combined the elements of both subject matters to blur the dividing line between them. These pieces provide a glimpse into my subconscious where the innards of roadkill are replaced with contents other than gore in an eldritch reality
