Project Chanology

Anonymous, the internet hacktivist group launched their campaign against Scientology in 2008. What initially began as a retaliation against Scientology for their censorship of the internet, escalated into full world wide protest. Scientology censored information about themselves on the internet, by using legal means and court orders. Scientology was restricting the free exchange of information pertaining to themselves on the internet.

This conflicted with the entity known as Anonymous. They were built on the foundation of free and unhindered Internet. Anonymous used “Access denial attacks” on Scientology websites and brought down several of their sites. They protested at Scientology centers world wide.
