Project Co-Founders

Anastasia Iorga

Ana is an anthropology PhD student at Stony Brook University with interests in archaeology, isotopes and imperialism. She is currently the webmaster for Crisis and Catharsis and is in charge of making sure no one breaks anything. She enjoys thinking about going for a long walk on the beach but then never going because outside bad, inside good.

Baylee Browning-Atkinson

Baylee is an admissions associate at the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum and Education Center.  She is interested in the ways in which material culture and industrial histories converge in American whaling and connected commercial industries during the 19th century. As an Editor for Crisis and Catharsis she is responsible for reviewing, editing, and publishing blog post submissions. When she is not reading she is crocheting, both activities with a cat on her lap.

Bonnie Soper

Bonnie is a PhD candidate in the history department at Stony Brook University. She studies 17th and 18th century Scottish religious and political dissidence. She is an Editor at Crisis and Catharsis. Bonnie plays the viola but finds it to be more frustrating than cathartic so will not be making a post about that.

David O’Donoghue
