Brandon Woelfel is a New York based photographer. He attended The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Art. (brandonwoelfel.com)

I first came across Brandon’s work on instagram and his photographic videos on youtube about 2 years ago, and I immediately fell in love with his style. He is one of my favorites, if not my top favorite photographer.
I really enjoy his use of low lighting with strings of lights, flares, fireworks, or even neon signs to make his images look incredibly glowy. He also tends to use a very narrow depth of field, so that only his subject is in focus, which also causes the lights in his image to become blurred and create flares and bokeh. His color editing towards teals and pinks makes the viewer feel as though they are looking into another time and place. As a final touch, he also often adds in light flares or “sparks” during editing that make his images look incredibly magical. I would describe his work as enchanting and very focused on color and light – and his followers often jokingly compare him to a moth.
At only 23 years old, he has had a sudden jump into fame with now 3 million followers on instagram that he says “he still doesn’t understand” (quoted from brandonwoelfel.com). He has also created two books with the first, “Luminescence,” already released and the second, “Ultraviolet,” on its way and available for preorder.
