My name is Gabriella, and I am a first-year graduate student earning a Masters of Science in the department of Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University. I earned my Bachelors of Engineering at Stony Brook University, along with a Minor in Chemistry, membership in SBU Women in Science and Engineering Honors Program, and on the pre-medicine track. I began my masters through a combined five year B.E./M.S. program at SBU.

I plan on enrolling in medical school to pursue a career as a physician-scientist with a core focus on tissue-engineering based therapies. I wish to focus on combining technology at the forefront of today’s medical field with surgical solutions to traumatic injury. Further, I plan on innovating technology that can help those in medically underserved communities, that can assist in alleviating pressure on understaffed, or under-supplied regions of the world.
