With the start of the FALL 2017 semester just around the corner, the CEM research group welcomes two new graduate students to the group: Alyssa Stansfield and Liz Najman. Here is some background on our newest members:
- Alyssa grew up in Wall, New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University with her B.S. in Meteorology. Her research interests include tropical cyclones, severe weather, and climate change. Having lived by the Jersey Shore for most of her life, Alyssa is also fascinated by marine science, and she hopes that throughout her career as a researcher, she can study both the atmosphere and ocean and how their interactions drive Earth’s climate system.
- Liz, a Long Island native with a background in pure math, wants to explore modeling chaotic systems. She holds a bachelors degree from Reed College and a masters from Columbia University.
Welcome!
