With the start of the FALL 2021 semester, the CEM research group welcomes Youwei Ma to the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. Youwei grew up in Qingdao, China and holds his masters degree in physical oceanography from Ocean University of China. His research interests include tropical cyclones and their role in the climate system. He is ready to embark on a PhD degree and devote his graduate studies to his passions in both atmosphere science and oceanography. Youwei will be co-advised with Dr. Christopher Wolfe.
