We started out the day with an issue with VSS and if it was working or not. Ruhi and I checked the System status and it seems to be working. We made sure the user was on Stony Brook University’s network and that he/she is connected to the VPN.

The thing about the virtual SINC site is that there is a limit as to how many people can be on it at the same time. Which is a bad thing because anyone who logs in can get kicked out due to over capacity. We put in a trouble ticket to document the issue.

System status is very important to look at when users believe it is the department’s fault for something to not work. It is a reliable tool that is updated and will let everyone know if something is down. Knowing about this will be important in the near future.
