Today is my last day of shadowing site managers; Ming & Nam. It was bitter sweet day because I have learned a lot but not all. I spent a lot of time looking through foot prints to learn about what is going on and how to address certain issues.
Nam pulled up a few footprints and asked me questions such as “what is wrong with this foot print?”. “what makes this footprint a bad footprint?”, “What should have the consultant/senior consultant put in the description box in addition to what he/she has?”, etc. There are a few key things that you do not miss when filling in a footprint ticket. As a refresher, in order to create a good foot print ticket, whoever is submitting the ticket has to be very specific. That includes, names of the machines, locations, issue, user’s information, what the user told you/what s/he did, what you told the user. etc. Anything that will give the faculty insight as to what is happening so they know the real issue.
I spend the rest of the time making sure the questions on SB Connect were being answered and helped out anyone that came to the desk.
This is an interesting article. solitaire bliss
