Research

I’ve always been interested in the “How?” of research, which has guided my academic career so far. I am much more focused on obtaining tangible skills, anywhere from programming for data science applications to device manufacturing techniques. I believe that a large “repertoire of skills” is necessary for the translation of research technology into products for low-resource areas.

Currently working at Dr. Brouzes’ Microfluidics for Quantitative and Genomics Biology Lab. I have worked most heavily in the development of microfluidic device designs and manufacturing protocols, as well as on the technical equipment required for platform characterization like LabView applications for data collection and most recently a thermocycler unit.

I hope to develop my programming skills further, especially to use them for deep learning applications. As well as grain experience designing microfluidic chips for novel applications.
