Fantastic presentation on this. The trailer and your script shows you already put so much effort to put this all together. I really like the opening scene of the trailer. The static audio in black and white kind of looks like speech in a silent film from the 20s and 30s or the opening of an old horror film. This contrasts really well with the modern image of the monitor presenting this as “property of the US government” with high clearance measures and the system information including an iPhone 7. Looking forward to the finished project.
I like the introduction, but I think that its a little bit too long to when you actually get to the speaking portions. Once it starts going though its really good, and you have great friends to help you out. The camera is a little shaky, and I don’t know if you plan to reshoot any of it but putting the camera on a something that can be rolled around might help keep it from being as spinning and more smoother.
This is INCREDIBLE!!! You have such talent in editing films! Each clip is hooked seamlessly and the audio effects are done remarkably as well. The beginning part where the screen flashes was a bit long and I am out of critiques. I can’t wait to see the whole film!
Hey Matthew! I wasn’t sure which post to comment on, but this was the one I watched. I think your mockumentary is great! However I have a few questions – will you be telling the entire story when this is finished or will you be leaving it open ended as it is now? I definitely think this story needs some kind of ending – you drew me in and I am interested in the story. The editing and the clips are great, though I think you could possibly cut down the beginning a bit with the static – some clips are just a bit too long or unnecessary in my opinion. Overall I like your idea and I think it will turn out great!
I really love the introduce of your video—it reminds me of the time when I was young, and the television was always broken when I wanted to watch cartoon. Some suggestions for you: firstly, you can add captions to your work to give audiences more information. Secondly, you can add some background music to evoke people’s emotions.
I think this is a very interesting topic! And the trailer really drives me in, it does work to attract me to see the official video. And the captions at the beginning with the effects are great! It fits your whole idea really well! I also like the texture of the video. Can’t wait to see the official one.
I really liked the introduction of your mockumentary. It appears that a lot of the other commenters did as well which speaks about quality of it. The topic is interesting and unveiled more as it went which was interesting. The style of documentary you went with fits well for the work as a whole. I am eager to see the finished product.
feels like your trailer is really well made. I want to see the full video work of yours! I really liked the last part of your video, it made me feel like I am watching a good independent movie.
