Public Transportation:

On the day of arrival we will offer regular shuttles from the Southampton station of the Long Island Railroad to the Marine Science Center. Below are the directions how to get to Southampton.

From JFK Airport: Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station (approx. 15 min ride). From Jamaica Station take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train towards Montauk and leave the train in Southampton (approx. 2h ride).

From La Guardia Airport: Take Bus Q70 to Woodside (approx. 20 min). At Woodside take a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train to Jamaica. A bit more expensive much more convenient is it to take a taxi from LGA to Jamaica Railway Station. In Jamaica take a train towards Montauk and leave the train in Southampton (approx. 2h ride).

From Newark Airport: Take the AirTrain to Newark Liberty Airport Station. Then take a AMTRAK train to Penn Station (approx. 25 min ride). From Penn Station take he Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train to Jamaica. In Jamaica take the train towards Montauk and leave the train in Southampton (approx. 2.5h ride).

From Long Island MacArthur Airport: Take a taxi to the Sayville station of the Long Island Railroad. In Sayville take a train towards Montauk and leave the train in Southampton (approx. 1h ride).

From Penn Station: Take he Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train to Jamaica. In Jamaica take the train towards Montauk and leave the train in Southampton (approx. 2.5h ride).
