Last night
When we were walking to the gym
A wisp of mist
A whisper of night rain
There is a philosophy
In her face
Which philosophy knows not
There, by the kiss of lamplight
Shivering, and sighing
Swore our love, infinite, undying
Who knew then, a pandemical plight
Would prove both we were lying
In our faces
Yet socially distant
Gone without a trace
So near, so forlorn
We find our own true face
The one we both wore
The one we both foreswore
Before our parents were born
