“This is the second oil painting I have ever attempted. Beginning this painting was my greatest challenge. Unlike my usual approach: to draw out my subject entirely; I began painting straight away. This process resulted in frustratingly numerous redo’s; however, I learned that an under-painting cares for proportion over detail.”
